Escrow Service India

Hold money safely until both buyer and seller are satisfied. No advance payments. No fraud. Just protected transactions.

What is an escrow service?

An escrow service is a neutral third party that holds money on behalf of two people in a transaction. Neither party can access the funds until both agree the deal is complete.

Think of it like a trusted intermediary. The buyer pays via a regulated payment partner. The seller delivers the goods or service. Once the buyer confirms delivery, funds are released to the seller. If something goes wrong, funds remain held by the payment partner until the dispute is resolved.

Simple definition:

Escrow = a secure holding account for transaction money, managed by a neutral third party, released only when the agreed conditions are met.

Why India needs an escrow service

Online fraud in India is growing. People lose money every day to fake sellers, failed deliveries, and non-payment disputes. The most common problems:

  • Sellers demand advance payment but never deliver
  • Buyers receive the wrong or damaged product and cannot get a refund
  • Freelancers complete work but clients refuse to pay
  • Property advance payments are not returned when deals fall through
  • B2B milestone payments are withheld after work is done

An escrow service eliminates all of these problems. The money is held securely. Neither party can disappear with it. Both sides are protected.

How GuardPe's escrow service works

GuardPe makes escrow simple. Here's the process step by step:

  1. 1

    Create a deal

The seller creates a deal on GuardPe, describes the work or product, sets the amount, and shares a payment link with the buyer.

  2. 2

    Buyer funds escrow

The buyer pays using UPI, cards, or net banking. The money is held safely by Cashfree — it does not go to the seller yet.

  3. 3

    Work is delivered

The seller completes the work and submits proof of delivery. Both parties can see the progress in real time.

  4. 4

Buyer approves and seller gets paid

Once the buyer is satisfied, they approve the delivery. The money transfers to the seller's bank account within minutes.
